About Us
_______________________________________________________________________________________
Rooted in decades of Scripture-centered study and shaped by the Church’s historic practices of prayer and worship, Spiritual Simplicity invites believers into a deeper, quieter walk with Christ.
Our Mission
Spiritual Simplicity exists to help believers reconnect with God through calm, Scripture-centered prayer and gentle daily practices.
We believe faith was never meant to feel rushed, heavy, or complicated — but peaceful, relational, and life-giving.
Our Prayer
We pray that these ancient, time-tested rhythms of prayer and devotion — rooted in the words of Jesus and carried forward by faithful voices from the Early Church to the present — might serve as a catalyst for a renewed reformation, awakening deeper passion for Christ and a fresh movement of spiritual renewal.

Our Vision
To cultivate a global community of believers who walk closely with God through simple prayer, biblical focus, and daily spiritual rhythms — allowing faith to grow naturally from presence, not pressure.
The Journey
The truths and practices of SpiritualSimplicity emerged through decades of study and prayerful reflection. Allen Ratta, over many years of pastoral ministry and leading seminars with church leaders, often focused on helping churches grow wider through principles of church growth and leadership. Yet through prayer, reflection, adversity, and lived experience, through victories and failures, a deeper conviction began to emerge.
THE ONE THING
Lasting transformation comes not merely through expansion, but through returning to the simplicity of what Jesus called the Great Commandments, loving God and others—THE ONE THING. Only Jesus, who was God incarnate, was qualified to summarize all of the Bible into one thing. There are many things we could focus on, but there will always be only one, one thing. This shift gradually shaped the vision behind today’s SpiritualSimplicity Ministry, moving the emphasis from growing wider to growing deeper in Christ.
The Spiritual Simplicity: A Return to the One Thing
Added to THE ONE THING is The One Prayer, the only time Jesus told us to “pray this way.” Think of the amazing backstory. God left heaven, took on human form, so He could look us in the eyes and teach us how to talk to Him.
Since THE ONE THING and The One Prayer both came from the heart of Jesus, they must be great truths that reinforce one another. The more you learn about and practice The One Prayer, the more you realize the intentionality behind every word Jesus uttered.
THE ONE THING is the destination for every believer, and The One Prayer, through daily practice, is the means Jesus gave to get us there.
The Need
Many believers carry a deep desire to grow, yet often feel pulled in many directions at once. Practices multiply, expectations increase, and faith can begin to feel heavy rather than life-giving.
Others struggle with inner brokenness, denying them a joyful spiritual center where intimacy with God can flourish.
Across the history of the Church, believers have returned again and again to this same simplicity. They have learned that spiritual growth is not primarily about doing more, but about learning to abide more deeply—centered in God’s Presence.
Wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith—beginning again, searching for clarity, or longing for deeper peace—you are invited to step into the path of simplicity and rediscover the beauty of a life shaped by love.
Spiritual Simplicity
Spiritual Simplicity is an invitation to slow down and return to the heart of faith—loving God and others with an undivided heart. Rooted in the words of Jesus and followed through prayerful reflection, the path He taught offers a way toward a life that feels centered, present, and deeply held in Christ.
Rather than adding another layer of complexity, Spiritual Simplicity seeks to create space—space to listen again to the words of Christ, to pray with greater attentiveness, and to rediscover the quiet coherence of a life rooted in love.
Resources
The book Spiritual Simplicity and its companion volume, The Spiritual Simplicity Journal, are offered as gentle guides in spiritual simplicity, helping individuals and faith communities move toward a life that feels whole rather than divided.
Allen Ratta now writes and teaches with a desire to help believers return to love as the center of Christian life. His work explores the simplicity of Christian discipleship, with a focus on prayer, spiritual formation, and the call to live with an ever-present heart before God.
